Howdy troops!  Greetings from Alabama!

We’ll probably be here for a few more days before heading out to Pensacola, Florida, for a well deserved rest (about 50 miles from here).  Hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving and are well prepared for Christmas.  Hugs and kisses, Chuck and Kalyn

We had Thanksgiving dinner here in Summerdale at the Escapees Park we are staying at (Rainbow Plantation) with a bunch of our fellow olde farts.  It was a rather interesting event discussing the merits of Geritol and Viagra (you never mix the two!).  The weather has turned colder and we are encountering some pretty unusual wildlife on the local beach at Gulf Shores . . .

The Navy Seabees also have a base with a museum in Gulfport where we ran into a “killer” bee which was even more deadly than the one we encountered at Art and Kathy’s “Rancho Insecta.”

We arrived here in Summerdale, Alabama, about a week ago after spending a couple of weeks along the Mississippi Gulf Coast in the Gulfport/Biloxi area.  We stayed at the Gulfport Elks lodge which is right on the Mississippi Sound (part of the Gulf of Mexico).  They have a 26-mile long man-made white sand beach just across the street from our “campground” . . .
