Howdy from New Mexico!   We are “camped” at the Las Cruces Elks lodge right now and have been for the last week.   Anyone planning to embark on a journey like ours would be well advised to join the Elks.   RV parking runs between $5 and $10 per night with electric and water and generally a dump station on the premises that you can use for free.   Here we are in our latest “campsite” . . .

Pretty spiffy, huh!!!!   We have been traveling less than 50 miles per week on average so gas prices haven't hurt us at all.   The prices are coming down as we head east and unleaded regular is available here in Las Cruces for $1.30 per gallon.   Beats the Hell out of California!   We plan to pick up our rigorous travel schedule some time in the next couple of days and head for El Paso, Texas (all of 44 miles from here!).   Yeah, we know, life is hard, but then, somebody has to do it!   We'll write more later.   Hugz all around, Chuck and Kalyn
