Rio Wheelin' May 27, 2000
Howdy everyone! Greetings from Del Rio, Texas (or Tejas, as we Mexicans call it). We’ve been here for a couple of days and will be heading out soon for San Antonio. Our plan is to stay for a week or so there before moving on to Bryan, Texas and then to Livingston. We did some 4-wheeling in Big Bend National Park down on the Mexican border and even slipped across the Rio Grande for lunch in Santa Elena, Mexico. I’ve started to put together my “cowboy costume” and should be a full fledged wrangler pretty soon . . .  Here’s a pic of me and a Floridian we ran into in Alpine, Texas. We were told that Alpine was a real pretty place so we had to check it out. Turns out that it is really a cesspool. Juarez, Mexico looks great by comparison! See ya’ll later! Chuck and Kalyn |
