But the drive north on Highway 7 through the Ozarks was a pretty one with interesting stops along the way . . .
as well as an open hot spring that you can stick a foot, or two, into if you can stand the heat . . .
And, of course, you have the dreaded Arkansas Rebel Red Wasp that is only too happy to share your space if you aren’t careful . . .
Greetings September 13, 2000
Greetings! After a fun filled week in Hot Springs, Arkansas, we have moved on to our first “destination”: Branson, Missouri. And to think, it only took us 8 months to get here! As it turns out, Hot Springs, Arkansas was the boyhood home of Billy Jeff Clinton and you occasionally run into a local who is proud of that fact . . . but not often. There are also a lot of bath houses and a magnolia lined Main Street downtown . . .
All tolled, we’re still doing well and will probably be here in Branson for a couple of weeks in our local Escapee campground at Turkey Creek. Write us when you can; we love hearing from all our friends. Hugs all around, Chuck and Kalyn
