Hello from us! This will be our last day in Louisiana for a spell. We’ll be leaving in a while for Hot Springs, Arkansas, about 150 miles from here. We aren’t sure that we can drive the entire distance in one day as our average travel day is only about 50 miles and then we stay put for a few days . . . or a week . . . or a month! We have been in West Monroe, Louisiana, for 9 days and have been mainly goofing off (not doing any of the serious stuff that we’re famous for). We’ve taken a couple of drives through the bayou country . . .
keeping my feet off the ground while I had my back to the water. We haven’t encountered any insect problems on this leg of our journey but did have a reinvasion of ants on our last night in Natchitoches - it brought back fond memories of our stay with Art and Kathy at "Rancho Insecta" in Johnson City, Texas. Until next time, y’all take care! Chuck and Kalyn
